Common Problems and Troubleshooting for Solar Lawn Lamps What should I do if solar lawn lamps just bought can not work (don’t give out light)? 1. Check whether the switches of the lamps are turned on or not. If insulating strips are used as their switches, please remove them. 2. It is possible that light controllers or solar panels are not covered. 3. It is possible that storage batteries have no sufficient power. Please turn on the switches of the lamps and put them in a place where there is sufficient sunlight to charge their storage batteries for 6-8 hours. Then the lamps will naturally work in the early evening (give out light).

Why do solar lawn lamps just bought only work for a short time? Because their storage batteries are not charged, the capacity thereof is not large enough. Their working hours can reach 6 or 8 hours only after they are fully charged and discharged for threes days (times),

What should I do if I want my solar lamps to work for the longest working hours? 1. It is especially important to choose a better place to place the solar lamps. Make sure that no shrubs, flowers or grasses, or roofs, etc. shield the sunlight. 2. If possible, please adjust the laying angle of solar panels to make them be capable to receive direct sunlight in the longest time. 3. Clear sundries on the surfaces of solar panels in time. Fallen leaves, thick dust and birds’ droppings, etc. on solar panels will affect the current in solar panels and lead to insufficient charge of storage batteries. Please do not clear the snow covered on the solar panels at random to prevent damage to them. Let the snow get melted naturally.

Why do some solar lamps placed in the garden work earlier, while others work relatively late? Because the time when lamps begin to work depends on strength and weakness of the light, the lamps are not placed in the same way and the light intensity they receive are different, so some lamps in a brighter place still don’t give out light, while some in a darker place have worked. Similarly, it is the same reason why solar lamps work earlier in winters than in summers.

Why do solar lamps don’t work sometimes? 1. Check whether the switches of lamps are turned or not. Storage batteries can be charged without turning on the switches of lamps, but lamps can not work (give out light). 2. If lamps are placed in a humid environment (continuous rainy or snowy days) or are blown down on the ground, their circuits will be unstable. So please move the lamps to a dry environment vertically and place them in the sunshine to get them recharged on sunny days. 3. If a lamp is used for more than one year, maybe the capacity of storage battery thereof has weakened. Please replace the old battery by a new one with the same type. 4. If you buy several solar lamps, you can replace a battery of a solar lamp which does not work with a battery in another solar lamp which can work well. If the battery still doesn’t work, please contact us.

Why does a solar lamp sometimes work unstably (flash)? 1. Maybe a storage battery is poorly contacted. Please reinstall the storage battery. And make sure that the cover sheet of the battery is installed in position and screws are tightened. 2. Affected by sunlight. When a light sensitive head is at a critical state, the lamp will flash. 3. The lamp also flashes when its battery has run out of power in continuous cloudy and rainy days.

Why do solar lamps inserted in a garden often get leaned or be down on the ground? 1. Check whether the lamps are inserted in soft soil. If yes, please replace its place and insert it to hard soil. 2. Strong wind or snow may blow down the lamps. After heavy rain, the soil will become soft and fails to get the lamp fixed. If the soil in your garden is relatively soft, you’d better take your lamps out of the garden in strong windy, rainy and snowy days. After the wind or snow, put them in your garden again.
